ITW Medical Products Acquires Coeur Holding Company
Hebron, IL. October 8, 2012 - ITW Medical Products, a division of Illinois Tool Works (NYSE: ITW), today announced it has completed the purchase of Coeur Holding Company, a leading provider of disposable medical products used in diagnostic imaging and other medical procedures. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

ITW Medical Products is now a division comprised of two strong medical product brands, Coeur and Filtertek, situated to proactively meet the needs of customers in the marketplace. The Filtertek product line is comprised of custom plastic insert molded filtration and flow control components for global OEM medical device customers. Coeur is a leading provider of disposable medical products used in diagnostic imaging and other medical procedures. ITW Medical Products will continue selling both Coeur products and the Filtertek line under their respective brands. "Both Coeur and Filtertek have strong brand equity and a history of providing innovative medical products to OEM Medical Device customers who demand excellence." said Law Burks, VP and General Manager of ITW Medical Products, who stated further that, "ITW Medical Product customers will now have access to a broader range of fluid management, filtration, flow control and tubing products." ITW Medical Products' global footprint now includes manufacturing, and sales operation locations in: Hebron, IL; Elk Grove Village, IL; Sheboygan, WI; Washington, NC; Shanghai, China; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Newcastle West, Ireland; Juarez, Mexico; Saltillo, Mexico and Madrid, Spain.
